Get a large pot 1/2 full of salt water (taste for right amount of salt), and add Pickling Spice (You can buy this mix in the store) and a couple of onion rough cut. Add your ribs (beef or pork), and let it cook for a couple of hours. They are done when you are able to pull out a bone without using a knife. Do not let it cook past this point, or all the bones will FALL OFF.
"Fish" the ribs up, and brush of the pickling spice. Cool for later use, or dip in your favorite barbeque sauce, and throw on the grill to finish.
Do not share this secret with your neighbors, and you will be THE ONE with thebest BBQ in your county!
Have fun cooking!
